01Who this applies to
This Privacy Policy applies to lifecreativehouse.com — the website you're on right now. It describes how we, Life Creative House (run by Manu Kapoor and Prerna Kapoor, two people in Colorado), handle any information you share with us through this site.
Our Etsy storefront at lifecreativehouse.etsy.com is operated by Etsy, Inc. and is governed by Etsy's own privacy policy. If you buy a print from us on Etsy, Etsy is the data controller for that transaction — not us. We only receive your shipping name, address, and order details so we can fulfill what you bought.
02What we collect
No signup form, for now
As of today, this site has no email signup, no contact form, and no account system. We may add a launch-announcement list later; when we do, we'll update this policy to describe exactly what we store, where it's stored, and how to unsubscribe — before the form goes live.
When you email us
If you email support@lifecreativehouse.com, we keep that email in our inbox so we can reply. We don't feed it into any marketing system. If you send us a message and then ask us to delete it, we will.
Automatically, when you visit the site
Our hosting provider (Hostinger) records basic technical information for any visit — the date, the page requested, a browser user-agent, and an IP address that gets truncated. This is standard web server logging and is used for security and to keep the site running. We don't combine this with anything else, and we don't use it to profile you.
Google Analytics (only if you opt in)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which work resonates and how people find us (for example, which photographs or paintings get viewed). It only runs if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner shown when you first visit. Until you accept, the Google Analytics script never loads, no request is sent to Google, and no analytics cookie is set. If you decline, or ignore the banner, none of it runs.
When it is enabled, Google Analytics sets a first-party cookie (named _ga) to tell repeat visits apart, and collects standard analytics data such as pages viewed, approximate location (city-level, derived from a truncated IP), device and browser type, and how you arrived. We have IP anonymization turned on, and we do not enable Google's advertising or remarketing signals. We use this data only in aggregate to improve the site. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we don't run ads. Google processes this data as described in its own privacy policy.
We do not use Facebook Pixel, session replay, or any other third-party tracking.
Cookies
The only tracking cookie this site sets is the Google Analytics _ga cookie described above, and only after you accept. Your accept/decline choice is remembered in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) so we don't ask again on every visit. You can change your mind any time by clearing your browser storage for this site, which brings the banner back. The only other items are ones your browser may set automatically for font loading (from Fontshare's CDN), which are out of our control and don't identify you personally.
03How we use your information
We use the information we collect for three things:
- To respond to you — if you email us a question.
- To keep the site safe and working — server logs for uptime and security.
- To understand what resonates — aggregate Google Analytics data, but only if you opted in via the cookie banner.
We do not use your information for advertising, for profiling, or to train any machine learning model. We do not sell, rent, or trade it to anyone.
04Who else sees it
Depending on your cookie choice, up to two third parties see data from this site:
- Hostinger — our web hosting provider, which sees standard server logs (date, page requested, browser type, truncated IP) for uptime and security purposes.
- Google (Analytics) — only if you accept analytics cookies. Google then processes aggregate usage data as described in section 02. If you decline, Google receives nothing from this site.
We do not share your information with any data broker or advertising network. There is no Meta Pixel and no ad targeting. Google Analytics runs only with your consent, and only in aggregate.
05How long we keep it
Emails you send us stay in our inbox until we clean up old messages (typically yearly). Server logs are rotated by our hosting provider after roughly 30 days. If you ask us to delete your emails from our inbox, we will.
06Your rights
No matter where you live, you can email us at support@lifecreativehouse.com and we'll:
- Tell you whether we have any messages or records from you on file.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your emails and any related records, on request.
- Export what we have, in a readable format.
If you're in California (CCPA/CPRA), the EU/EEA or UK (GDPR), or Canada (PIPEDA), these rights are also legally yours and we honor them the same way. We don't sell personal information under any definition, so there's no "do not sell" request to file.
07Children's privacy
Although some of what we're making is for kids (we're working on a children's book series), this website itself is not directed at children under 13. The site has no signup form, so there is nowhere for a child to enter information. If you're a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent us an email we shouldn't have, let us know and we'll delete it right away.
08Security
The site is served over HTTPS. There is no signup form, no login, no payment on this site — so there is no sensitive data collected. We're two people, not a bank; we keep things simple so there's less to go wrong.
09Our internal tools (for API compliance)
We operate a small internal application called LifeCreativeHouse Shop Manager that connects to our own accounts on third-party platforms via their official APIs — specifically Etsy, Pinterest, and Instagram. We use it to manage our own shop listings, schedule our own social media posts, and track our own sales performance.
This internal tool only accesses data from our own accounts on those platforms. It does not collect, store, or process personal information from any third-party users or customers. API credentials are stored securely on our own servers, are never shared, and are rotated according to each platform's requirements. The data we retrieve through these APIs stays on our own systems and is not shared with, sold to, or disclosed to any third party.
If you interact with our Etsy store, Pinterest boards, or Instagram account, those platforms are the data controllers for that interaction and their own privacy policies apply. We encourage you to review them: Etsy, Pinterest, Instagram.
10Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information — adding a launch-list signup, an analytics tool, a blog comment system — we'll update this page and change the "Effective" date at the top. For material changes, we'll post a clear notice on the homepage before they take effect.
11Contact us
We're two real people. The fastest way to reach us about anything in this policy is email.
Questions about privacy? Email us.
We read every message and we reply. Usually within a day or two.
